What is the mission and purpose of
the Youth Ministry of Grace Lutheran?
The youth ministry of Grace Lutheran Church of Visalia will
provide and encourage spiritual growth opportunities for the
youth of Grace and the community in which we live.
What?
Spiritual Builders
Bible studies, prayer time, devotional time, worship leading,
etc.
Fellowship
Bowling, retreats, road trips, water parks, sledding, lock-ins,
etc.
Service
Petal pushers, two-hour to week-long events, road cleaning,
painting, etc.
Witness
High school lunches, Christmas parade, musicals, advertisements,
role models, etc.
Worship
Attendance, leading, music, usher, acolytes, etc.
Basic Overview
All youth ministry events are open to member
and non-member youth. If you have questions or want to know

5th - 8th Grade Youth Ministry Group
- Meet for a weekly Bible study every Sunday morning
plus a mid-week study on Wednesday evening
- Meet at least once per month for a three hour plus
event; such as games, movies, bowling, etc.
- Day event and retreats are planned at least twice per
year
- Adopt a family every Christmas
Senior High Youth (9th - 12th Grade)
- Meet for a weekly Bible study every Sunday morning
plus a mid-week study on Wednesday evening
- Every Sunday evening a Youth Night with an assortment
of activities is held
- Day event and retreats are planned at least twice per
year
- Adopt a family every Christmas
- National Youth Gathering attendance (week long event)
- National Servant Event attendance (week long event)
- Petal Pusher event
- ... much more!!
College Age - Post High School
- Encourages to attend the Senior High events and activities
- Currently under construction for something to call
their own
